War Games is Coming To Survivor Series, Bray Wyatt Return Teased, AEW Grand Slam Preview & More Wrestling News & Gossip

Triple H revealed that the WWE November tradition of Survivor Series will have a new twist this year. Gone is the tired Raw vs. Smackdown theme to the show, and instead, we will see War Games for the first time on the main roster WWE show. The event will take place at Boston's TD Garden on November 28th, the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Triple H revealed to The Ringer that there will be a men's and women's War Games match. “We’ll have a men’s WarGames match and a women’s WarGames match. The tradition of the Survivor Series has ebbed and flowed and changed slightly over time, but this will be similar to that,” Levesque said. “This will not be Raw versus SmackDown. It will be much more story-line driven. I still look at it as a traditional component to Survivor Series in there because it’s large teams of people competing. We just upped the ante a little bit with WarGames and made it evolve.”

Bray Wyatt To Return on WWE Smackdown?

WWE has been teasing the "White Rabbit" at recent live events, with the song of the same name performed by Jefferson Airplane performing at venues, with the lights down.

On last night's edition of Raw, WWE tried a very interesting marketing strategy. During a quick backstage segment, there was a QR code in the background with the caption "Come with me." Later in the show, in the middle of a match, a "fan" walked across the screen with a giant QR code.

The QR code led to this website, which was a game of Hangman in that ended with the phrase "Come with me." The font choice on the video is very similar to previous Bray Wyatt merchandise. The date "September 23" which is this Friday flashed on the screen at the end. Here's the video.

I am so excited to be going to the second annual AEW Grand Slam event tomorrow at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, NY. Last year was incredible and the lineup this year looks really stacked:

Promoter Tony Khan spoke to local station News12 and hyped up the show big time saying "It's gonna be really special. You don’t wanna miss this one. If there’s still an opportunity for you to come Wednesday night and you’re a wrestling fan around New York, you do not wanna miss this. It is going to be, I believe, have you guys seen 'Wayne’s World 2'? This is gonna be like my Waynestock. I’ve been through a lot lately, and we’ve gone through a lot. I’m telling you, it’s gonna come together, this is gonna like Waynestock. It’s gonna be that one perfect night in New York City this Wednesday night. Expect a lot, and you shall not be disappointed."

"I’m gonna do my best to make it a fun night for the fans. I promise I won’t disappoint with it this time. I rarely have, and rarely, rarely, rarely in several hundred shows have I ever, and certainly never intentionally. This will not be anything, anything, anything, like anything we’ve ever done before. I’m very excited for Grand Slam."


News and Gossip from Around the Internet

The Young Bucks' return may be imminent. They've had some fun with their location in their Twitter bio. It went from "suspended A.F." to "Not sure, tbh" leading some to believe the investigation is coming to a close and they could be reinstated. Selfishly, I hope we see the Bucks tomorrow at Grand Slam.

Roman Reigns vs. Logan Paul was made official for WWE Crown Jewel in October. They had a pretty fun press conference to announce the event.

Bayley challenged Bianca Belair to a match at Extreme Rules, so add that to the card. Matt Riddle vs. Seth Riddle in a MMA-style fight pit match was also added.

Some charges against Velveteen Dream aka Patrick Clark may end up being dropped. A court date for battery and trespassing charges was dropped. Clark was accused of attacking a gym attendant after being asked to leave because the gym was closing for cleaning.

The Steiner Brothers will return to WWE TV, sitting down for a special edition of Table for 3 with Rick Steiner's son and NXT champion, Bron Breakker.

Malakai Black released a statement confirming his exit from AEW, saying he will be taking some moths off to recalibrate his life. It is believed he got a conditional release from AEW, and wants to return to WWE, where his wife, Zelina Vega is employed.

WWE NXT women's champion Mandy Rose announced her engagement to former NXT star Tino Sabbatelli.

You may be seeing one of the best wrestlers in Mexico show up at your local indie show soon as AAA mega champion Hijo del Vikingo has gotten his US visa and is starting to accept bookings. I wouldnt' be surprised to see him pop up on AEW tv.
